Review the discussion in chapter 1 of the textbook on the topic of Ecological Footprint.

Go to the Footprint of Nations web site www.ecologicalfootprint.org/Global%20Footprint%20Calculator/GFPCalc.html and calculate your own footprint.

Print a hardcopy of your results. Bring that to class for discussion.

On the back of your footprint printout, answer the following questions.

1. How can you reduce your own ecological footprint?

2. How can you help reduce the ecological footprint of your community? Include at least 3 levels of these hierarchies: school, city/town, county, state, nation, world.

3. What are some resources you use that are NOT taken into account in either the textbook or in your calculations?

Remember to put your name on the printout.
